  • Autoimmune Disease is a disorder in which the body’s immune system inadvertently attacks varying types of healthy tissues. Examples of Autoimmune Diseases include:

    Hashimoto’s/Hypothyroidism                                                      Raynaud’s Syndrome

    Rheumatoid Arthritis                                                                        Fibromyalgia

    Multiple Sclerosis                                                                             Sjogren’s Syndrome

    Addison’s Disease                                                                             Myasthenia Gravis

Because swelling or fluid retention occurs in these conditions, Manual Lymphatic Drainage may be used as a supportive therapy to help reduce edema and provide relief.

  • Lyme Disease is caused by a bacterial infection that is spread to humans by infected deer ticks. If diagnosed and treated early, recovery can occur. However, if left untreated chronic symptoms can occur such as muscle & joint pain, sleep issues, “brain fog,” and fatigue.

An initial Lymphatic Home Exercise Program will be provided to you, discussion and development of a recommended plan of care, and if time allows, Victoria will also incorporate a manual lymphatic drainage session.

Often following the initial consultation, a minimum of 2 times/week sessions for a few weeks are recommended. Victoria has found that the consistent visits following the initial consultation allow opportunities for the lymphatic system to be stimulated during Manual Lymphatic Drainage and detox,  the individual progresses in understanding with how to self-facilitate the lymphatic system outside of clinic by advancing the lymphatic home exercise program.

Additional Considerations

It is important to understand that lymphatic treatment does not “cure” these conditions; however, can provide comfort and relief to symptoms.  Victoria assesses each person by developing an understanding of the individual’s medical history, symptoms, and functional challenges and develops a solution-oriented plan of care.
